Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time anime has revealed the first trailer, along with a new key visual and cast members. The anime was previously announced for a January 2025 release date, with Studio Comet in charge of the animation. The first main trailer introduces all the main characters, along with the new additions to the cast. You can check it out below.

The light novel Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time (originally Izure Saikyo no Renkinjutsu-shi? and also translated as Someday Will I Be The Greatest Alchemist?) began as a web novel in August 2017, with story by Kogitsunemaru and illustrations by Hitogome. AlphaPolis began publishing it as a light novel in February 2018, and they have published 16 volumes as of May 2024. AlphaPolis is also publishing a manga adaptation by Taro Sasakama in both Japanese and English through Alpha Manga.
The story follows Takumi Iruma, a boy who accidentally gets mixed in with a group of heroes to be isekaid. Due to the error, the goddess offers him the chance to choose as skill, and he picks a boring creation skill and aims to have a peaceful life away from any combat. However, his ‘alchemy’ skill turns out to be incredibly overpowered, being able to create holy swords and flying ships out of nothing. And so he becomes the ‘possibly’ the greatest alchemist and has an interesting life in his new world.
