Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 has topped the Winter 2025 weekly ranking in Week 6 for the second straight time. Subaru and Emilia fought together against Regulus and seemingly figured out the way to defeat him, while Priscilla and Liliana had a difficult time against Sirius. The episode’s director said the episode took about a year and a half to produce.
Re:ZERO had 9.34% of the votes this time, with a total of 9,942 people participating. This was the new highest vote percentage of the season so far, with Re:ZERO previously setting the record in Week 5.
The anime was again followed by The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 and Solo Leveling Season 2, although the they swapped places this time.

Winter 2025 – Top 10 Anime of Week 6 | Re:ZERO Ranks First
Studio WHITE FOX is back to animate Re:ZERO Season 3, which premiered with a 90-minute special episode on October 2. It is directed by Masahiro Shinohara, with Haruka Sagawa as the character designer/chief animation director, Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition, and Kenichiro Suehiro on the music.
We got to interview some of the Re:ZERO Season 3 staff, including the director and character designer, as well as Subaru’s Japanese voice actor Yusuke Kobayashi.
The new season is set to air 2 parts:
- Attack Arc (8 episodes, aired from October to November 2024)
- Counterattack Arc (8 episodes, began on February 5, 2025)
The Re:ZERO light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki first started on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in April 2012. The light novel version began in January 2014, featuring illustrations by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. Both are currently ongoing. The first season of the TV anime adaptation ran for 25 episodes from April to September 2016. Season 2 followed with 2 split cours, which aired through the Summer 2020 and Winter 2021 anime seasons.
During its first part, Re:ZERO Season 3 placed first in Week 1 and Week 5, eventually also ranking third in our overall Fall 2024 Anime of the Season ranking.
