Rock is a Lady’s Modesty anime unveiled the main visual, two additional cast members, and the opening song artist on Thursday. The anime will premiere on April 3, 2025.
The new cast additions include:
- Natsumi Fujiwara as Tamaki Shiroya
- Ayaka Fukuhara as Tina Izemi
A special advance screening of the anime will be held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on March 16, where the voice cast will appear as guests. The opening theme song “Ready to Rock” is performed by Band-Maid and is featured in the latest trailer:
BN Pictures is animating the series with Shinya Watada as director. Shogo Yasukawa in charge of the series composition, Risa Miyadani is on character designs, and Elements Garden is composing the music. The main cast (click the links for their character visuals and trailers) includes:
- Akira Sekine as Ririsa Suzunomiya
- Miyuri Shimabukuro as Otoha Kurogan
Rock is a Lady’s Modesty anime is based on a manga series by Hiroshi Fukuda and it has been serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha) since October 2022. It currently has 6 volumes available with the 7th volume set to release on March 28, 2025.
The story follows Ririsa Suzunomiya, a girl who becomes the daughter of a real estate tycoon through her mother’s remarriage. She is forced to abandon her guitar and emotions to live a constrained life as a ‘proper lady.’ Ririsa meets Otoha Kurogane, a virtuoso drummer attending the same prestigious girls’ school. Together, they rekindle Ririsa’s passion for rock music and dive into band activities.
