The upcoming Rock is a Lady’s Modesty anime unveiled a new visual and character trailer, spotlighting the main character Ririsa Suzunomiya. The series is set to premiere in April 2025.
Additionally, a special advance screening of the anime will be held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on March 16. Akira Sekine who voices Ririsa Suzunomiya and Miyuri Shimabukuro who plays the role of Otoha Kurogan will appear as guests.
Shinya Watada is directing the series at studio BN Pictures with Shogo Yasukawa in charge of the series composition and Risa Miyadani on character designs. Elements Garden is composing the music. The anime previously revealed its first trailer and visual last November.
Rock is a Lady’s Modesty anime is based on a manga series by Hiroshi Fukuda. It has been serialized in Young Animal (Hakusensha) since October 2022. It currently has 6 volumes available with the 7th volume set to release on March 28, 2025.
The story follows Ririsa Suzunomiya, a girl who becomes the daughter of a real estate tycoon through her mother’s remarriage. She is forced to abandon her guitar and emotions to live a constrained life as a ‘proper lady.’ Ririsa meets Otoha Kurogane, a virtuoso drummer attending the same prestigious girls’ school. Together, they rekindle Ririsa’s passion for rock music and dive into band activities.
