Secrets of the Silent Witch released the preview for the upcoming Episode 10, slated to premiere on Friday, September 12. The synopsis of the episode is as follows:
Monica chose horseback riding and chess as her elective classes. Before she knew it, she was selected as a representative player for an interschool chess exchange match among the three prestigious academies. Although Monica felt bewildered, with the support of Felix and the other student council members, she threw herself into intense chess training. However, she soon learns that one of the opposing schools is none other than Minerva, the magical training institute she once attended. This revelation stirs up an old memory, of the one and only friend she made back when she was studying at Minerva to become a mage.

Studio Gokumi is animating the series based on a light novel written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. Saya Aizawa stars as the titular character Monica Everett while Hitsujibungako is performing both the theme songs. Crunchyroll, Aniplus Asia, and Bilibili are streaming the anime.
