The previously announced Shaman King: Flowers anime is set to premiere in January 2024. A teaser visual and trailer have been released. The series is a sequel to the 2021 Shaman King anime reboot.
Joji Furuta is directing the series, while Shoji Yonemura is doing the series composition. Meanwhile, Mayuko Yamamoto is doing the character designs, Yuji Shibata on the prop design, with Toshiomi Iizumi and Satoshi Mutsuda doing the over soul designs. Studio Bridge returns to animate the new sequel. The main cast for the anime includes:
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru
- Yoko Hikasa as Hana Asakura
- Sumire Uesaka as Numbrich Alumi
- Shun Horie as Yohane Asakura
- Michiko Kaiden as Gakko Ibuki
- Romi Paku as Men Tao
The Shaman King, reboot aired from April 2021 to April 2022. The original anime adaptation of the series by Hiroyuki Takei series aired from July 2001 to September 2002 and was animated by the now-defunct studio Xebec.
The new Shaman King: Flowers anime is based on a spin-off manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Jump X from April 2012 to October 2014. Kodansha USA has licensed the manga in English, describing it as:
The action returns in this brand-new sequel to SHAMAN KING! Hana Asakura finds that being the son of Yoh & Anna Asakura isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and his boredom has him itching for any kind of excitement.
