The collaboration is centered around the upcoming MLB World Tour Tokyo Series, which starts with pre-season games between Hanshin Tigers against the Yomiuri Giants on March 15 and 16. Opening games featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Chicago Cubs will then follow on March 18 and 19.
The collaboration is coming as the first movie in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle trilogy revealed the international release dates. You can also see the latest key visual and announcement trailer below.
Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020. It ended with a total of 23 compilation volumes.
The anime adaptation by ufotable began with a 26-episode Season 1, which aired from April to September 2019. Following its huge success, the sequel movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train followed in October 2020 and arguably began the entire anime movie boom.
The movie was then re-edited and shown as part of the 18-episode Season 2, which aired from October 2021 to February 2022. The 11-episode Season 3 aired from April to June 2023, while Season 4 aired from May to June 2024 and set the stage for the endgame.
The Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy is now in production, with the first movie set to premiere in 2025. A sequel game titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 is also in production and set to release next year. The fifth installment of the stage play will also begin showing in Japan in April this year.
