Popular light novel series Spy Classroom is getting an anime adaptation, as confirmed during today’s Fantasia Bunko Online Festival. The 2022 festival was streamed on Kadokawa’s YouTube channel. Studio feel. is animating the series.
Sora Amamiya and Yuichiro Umehara are voicing Lily and Klaus, respectively. An announcement trailer for the Spy Classroom anime has been revealed:
The staff has been revealed and includes:
- Director: Keiichiro Kawaguchi
- Series composition: Shinichi Inozume
- Character designer: Sumie Kinoshita
In addition to the trailer, a teaser visual is also available. The Japanese title for the series is Spy Room.
Illustrator Tomari tweeted about the adaptation, saying that they were working closely with the anime staff. According to the illustration posted, the anime should release in 2022:
About Spy Classroom
The light novel written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari started serialization in 2020 in Fujimi Fantasia Bunko and currently has 6 volumes. A manga adaptation by Kaname Seu is currently ongoing in Media Factory’s Comic Alive magazine. A short story light novel series is also currently ongoing. The light novel won the 32nd Fantasia Bunko award.
Yen Press licensed the light novel in English. Two volumes have been translated, with the third one set for May 17 release.
