Spy Classroom Anime to Release Two Blu-ray and DVD Volumes With 12 Episodes

Upcoming Spy Classroom anime announced on Thursday that the adaptation will have two Blu-ray (BD) and DVD Box volumes with twelve episodes. Each volume compiles six episodes. The first box volume’s release date is set for March 24, 2023, and the second volume is for May 24, 2023. Both of the volumes come with a newly-written bonus by the light novel’s author Takemachi as a special booklet, and a newly-drawn jacket cover by the anime’s character designer Sumie Kinoshita. The BD volumes are available at the price of ¥19,800 (≒$148), while the DVD volumes are ¥17,600 (≒$132). Studio feel. is animating the Spy Classroom anime and the first episode premiered on January 5, 2023.

Spy Classroom anime is based on a light novel series of the same name written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. The novel is currently being published under Kadokawa’s label Fujimi Fantasia Bunko. Yen Press licensed the light novel for English releases and describes the plot as:
Following a devastating military conflict, countries fight their wars in the shadows. One unusual spy, Klaus, has never failed on the job despite his quirks, and he is building a team to take on an Impossible Mission—one with over a 90 percent chance of failure. However, his chosen members are all washouts with no practical experience. They’ll have to use every trick in the book (and some that aren’t) to prove they’re up to the task!
