Spy Classroom delayed the episode 8 broadcast to March 2 due to the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the production schedule. The episode was supposed to air on February 23. Instead, a special program will be broadcast in the timeslot.
Studio feel is adapting the anime based on a light novel written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. Keiichiro Kawaguchi is directing the anime, with Shinichi Inozume on the series composition. Sumie Kinoshita is in charge of the character designs. The series is known as Spy Room in Japan. The main cast includes:
The light novel written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari started serialization in 2020 in Fujimi Fantasia Bunko and currently has 6 volumes. In Japan, it s known as Spy Room. A manga adaptation by Kaname Seu is currently ongoing in Media Factory’s Comic Alive magazine. A short story light novel series is also currently ongoing. The light novel won the 32nd Fantasia Bunko award.

Spy Classroom now joined other delayed seasonal titles which include The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2, Kubo Won’t Let You Be Invisible, UniteUp!, Ayakashi Triangle, and NieR:Automata (returns this Saturday).
