Summer Time Rendering Reveals First Opening Theme Song

The upcoming Summer Time Rendering anime adaptation revealed the opening theme song for the first cour in a new teaser announcement. The new teaser also features the opening song by the pop-rock band Macaroni Empitsu titled “Hoshi ga Oyogu”. Studio OLM is animating the series which will begin broadcasting on April 14. The anime is set to have 25 episodes.

The cast of Summer Time Rendering includes Natsuki Hanae as Shinpei, Sahi Shirasu as Mio, and Anna Nagase as Ushio. The previously announced cast members include:

  • Yoko Hikasa as Hizuru Minakata
  • Jin Urayama as Ginjiro Nezu
  • Maki Kawase as Tokiko Hishigata
  • Kensho Ono as Sou Hishigata

Ayumu Watanabe is directing the series at the studio OLM. Miki Matsumoto is designing the characters and Hiroshi Seki is in charge of the series composition. MONACA’s Hoashi Keigo, Okabe Keichii, and Takada Ryuuichi are composing the music.

The anime is based on Yasuki Tanaka’s sci-fi, suspense-mystery manga Summer Time Rendering, which was serialized from 2017 to 2021. The manga officially concluded with a total of 139 chapters, compiled into 13 volumes.

Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface, something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
