Summer Time Rendering anime revealed a preview for episode 23 which is titled “Everlasting Night” – set to air on September 15 (Thursday). Something weird is happening to Ushio, as evident last from the last week’s episode, and Shide is not stopping.

The plot of the episode is described as:
The punch at Hiruko shattered the rock wall with Heine’s cry! But there is still a hint of Heine in the air.
The resonating right eyes of Ushio and Shinpei. Shide, who was surely defeated, appears before their eyes again like an immortal.
Karikiri keenly senses the new awakening of Ushio’s “observer’s eye” and invites her to the site of the decisive battle to take it away. Shinpei and Ushio firmly join hands and push forward into the darkness that has been opened up.
Summer Time Rendering is based on a suspense-mystery manga by Yasuki Tanaka. Shonen Jump+ online magazine serialized it from 2017 to 2021. Studio OLM is animating the anime adaptation, which began airing last season. Disney+ holds the streaming rights.
The manga is available on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus platform. The plot is described as:
Upon hearing of Ushio’s death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend’s family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
