The official website for The Misfit of Demon King Academy anime has announced that they will recast the role of Anos Voldigoad, and that Tatsuhisa Suzuki will not continue through the show’s 2nd season. They will announce the replacement at a later date, and the full message reads:

We would like to inform you that we have contacted our office regarding Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who played the role of Anos in this work.
We have contacted his office and had a discussion with them. And we would like to inform you that the role of Anos has been dismissed. We are very grateful to Mr. Suzuki for his performance as Anos so far.
We will make an announcement regarding the new role of Anos as soon as possible.
We hope you will continue to support ” The Misfit of Demon King Academy” in the future.

This comes after the allegations that he cheated on his wife, LiSA. Previously, Tomoaki Maeno replaced him as Ultraman Taro for the show’s upcoming 2nd season. His band OLDCODEX went on hiatus as well, which is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, Crunchyroll streams the first season of the anime, which aired from July to September 2020. The 2nd season will have 2 cours, and will release in 2022. They describe the story:
Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods, but became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world. However, what awaited him in reincarnation after 2000 years were descendants who became too weak after being accustomed to peace, and all sorts of magic that deteriorated to the extreme.
Anos enters Demon King Academy that gathers and educates those who are viewed as the reincarnation of the Demon King, but the academy could not see through his true powers and ends up branding him as a misfit.
Tatsuhisa Suzuki fit the role of Anos Voldigoad well, and we’ll see how The Misfit of Demon Academy will go about his replacement.
