The Dreaming Boy is a Realist (Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha) has revealed a preview video for episode 1. HIDIVE will stream the episode which is slated to premiere on Tuesday, July 4.
Studios Gokumi and AXsiZ are collaborating in animating the anime with Kazuomi Koga as director. Michiko Yokote is writing the scripts while Miyabi Ozeki is handling the character designs and Ryohei Sataka is composing the music.
The cast includes Naoya Miyase as Wataru Sajou, Akiho Suzumoto as Aika Natsukawa, Yumiri Hanamori as Kei Ashida, Mikako Komatsu as Kaede Sajou, Kaori Ishihara as Rin Shinomiya, Minami Kurisaki as Fuka Sasakim and Iori Saeki as Mina Ichinose. Kaori Ishihara performs the opening theme song “Paraglider,” while the ending theme song “Yume wa Mijikashi Koiseyo Otome” is sung by Akiho Suzumoto.
The TV anime adaptation of The Dreaming Boy is a Realist (Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha) is based on the light novel written by Okemaru which was initially launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in December 2018. Hobby Japan later acquired the title with illustrations provided by Mizore Saba and is publishing it in print. An ongoing manga adaptation by Popuri Yoshikita is being serialized on Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace Plus website since March 2021. The manga currently has 3 volumes and the 4th one is to be released later this month.
The Dreaming Boy is a Realist (Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha) anime previously revealed a visual and trailer at AnimeJapan 2023.
