The upcoming anime adaptation of The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague will have four BD volumes with twelve episodes in total. The anime also revealed a jacket cover illustration for the first volume of BD, which is scheduled to be released on April 28, 2023. The manga author Miyuki Tonogaya is drawing package visuals for the first and fourth volumes, and the anime’s character designer Miyako Kano is in charge of package visuals for the second and third volumes.
Each volume comes with a booklet about the anime and will have the manga included. Exclusive limited editions with merchandise are available in shops. The products are available at the price of ¥9,900 (≒ $68) and the release dates are listed as follows:
- Volume 1 (Episodes 1 to 3): April 28, 2023
- Volume 2 (Episodes 4 to 6): May 26, 2023
- Volume 3 (Episodes 7 to 9): June 30, 2023
- Volume 4 (Episodes 10 to 12): July 28, 2023
Chiaki Kobayashi (Lucius Artorius Castus in Vinland Saga) is voicing the Ice Guy, while Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan) is playing the role of his cool female colleague in the anime adaptation.

Studios ZERO-G and Liber’s collaborative anime is being produced based on Miyuki Tonogaya’s The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague manga serialized on Square Enix’s Gangan pixiv manga website. The series released the first compiled volume on July 22, 2019, and the newest, Volume 6 on June 22, 2022. The anime’s premiere date is set for January 4, 2023.
Comikey licensed the manga for English releases and describes the plot as follows:
Himuro-kun is a living descendant of the Snow Woman from Japanese folklore. But anytime he’s around his eccentric yet kind colleague, Fuyutsuki-san, he totally freezes up! Despite the snowstorm of love that rages on in his heart, and her complete cluelessness, will he take a step forward or stay frozen in place?
