Wanda Cinemas Games and Hasbro have partnered to develop TRANSFORMERS: Eternal War, a new mobile game based on the popular franchise. The TRANSFORMERS franchise is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and you can see the new game’s first look trailer below.
Eugene Evans, SVP Digital Strategy and Licensing at Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, said about the game’s announcements:
“Our celebrations of TRANSFORMERS’ 40th anniversary continues as we reveal even more exciting digital offerings through strategic licensing and best-in-class collaborators like Wanda Cinema Games. We can’t wait for longtime and newer franchise fans to battle it out when they experience TRANSFORMERS: Eternal War’s combination of mobile action gameplay and a unique storyline when it releases in 2025.”
The TRANSFORMERS franchise was created by American toy company Hasbro and Japanese toy company Takara Tomy in 1984. It began with the Transformers toy line, comprising transforming mecha toys from Takara’s Diaclone and Micro Change toy lines rebranded for Western markets. It then evolved into many directions, getting anime adaptations, live-action movies, video games, comics, and a lot more media.
The latest project for its 40th anniversary was an animated trailer by studio TRIGGER.
