Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 anime has revealed a new trailer and voice cast, along with a January 8 release date. The anime will run for 2 consecutive cours, with J.C. Staff in charge of the animation. You can watch the new trailer below.
The new voice cast members include Yukiyo Fuji as Rona and Taiten Kusunoki as Io. Hanae Natsuki, Sakura Ayane and Kito Akari are returning to voice the main trio, while 10 new cast members were announced back in October.
Season 2 of the series was announced right after the broadcast of the first season’s finale, which premiered in July of 2021. The anime is based on Kei Azumi’s Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchou (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-) light novel series. AlphaPolis has been publishing it since 2013. A manga adaptation by Kotora Kino is also available.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and they describe the plot as follows:
Makoto Misumi was just an average teenager who suddenly was summoned to another world as a “hero.” But the goddess of this world called him ugly and took his hero status away from him, then sent him to the ends of the world. He meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and many other non-human races in the wastelands. Makoto manages to show promise in the use of magic and fighting, which he wouldn’t have been able to do in his former world. He has numerous encounters, but will he be able to survive this new world? A fantasy where a guy who gods and humanity had abandoned tries to reset his life in this new world is about to begin!
