The “Why don’t you and Uma Musume go to Kentucky today?” event started on Saturday, August 24, and will last until September 13. The collaboration will be available nationwide in Japan through online orders via the KFC app.

The collab includes special merchandise, such as an Uma Musume-themed KFC box featuring illustrations of Jungle Pocket, Gold Ship, Tonsen Jordan, and El Condor Pasta. The box costs ¥1500 (~$10.50) and brings 2 pieces of the colonel’s finger-licking original chicken, 5 chicken nuggets, and a biscuit. Additionally, you will receive a serial code that you can use to claim in-game items in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, including an SSR support card and recovery items.

During the Uma Musume/KFC event, limited edition trading cards will also be available. A total of 18 cards will be up for grabs. A total of 9 normal cards will be available and eight of these are character cards that feature the following characters: Jungle Pocket, Satano Diamond, Neo Universe, Kitasan Black, Smart Falcon, Gold Ship, Tonsen Jordan, and El Condor Pasta. The other is a group card. The rare cards include a printed autograph of the girl’s voice actress. Additionally, purchasing the Uma Musume/KFC box gets you an entry into an acrylic stand giveaway.

What’s Uma Musume about? Ever wondered what happens to pets when they die? That’s an answer far beyond my understanding. But if you’re wondering what happens when famous Japanese racehorses die, that’s easy. Their spirit is reborn in another world. There they become Uma Musumes, horse girls born to race and relieve the thrill of the races they once participated in. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is a powerhouse of a franchise. The franchise boasts various OVAs, games, mangas, spin-offs, and three anime seasons.
