The Umamusume: Pretty Derby anime movie adaptation titled Umamusume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era has revealed a new visual and trailer, as well as additional voice cast members. Cygames Pictures is animating, and the movie will premiere on May 24 in Japan. It focuses on Jungle Pocket, who is voiced by Yuri Fujimoto. Watch the new trailer:
The cast members include Kenichi Ogata as Trainer Tanabe, Miyuki Sakurai as Ria, Yurie Igoma as Shima, and Saya Hitomi as Mai. Check out the new visual for the anime below.
The staff includes Ken Yamamoto as the director, Tetsuya Kobari in charge of the story/scenario structure, Kiyoko Yoshimura on the screenplay and Jun Yamazaki as the character designer and chief animation director. Sumire Uesaka as Agnes Tachyon and Yui Ogura as Manhattan Cafe were confirmed for the movie.
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby game launched for iOS and Android on February 24, 2021 and for PC on March 10, 2021. Besides the TV anime and the Umayon short-form anime, the most recent new web anime project from the franchise ran for 4 episodes in October 2022 titled Umamusume Pretty Derby: Road to the Top.
