A new ‘final chapter’ visual was revealed for Urusei Yatsura to commemorate the remaining four episodes. The colorful image depicts Lum looking back at Ataru running towards her in his school gym uniform. The series is currently streaming on HIDIVE with new episodes released every Thursday.

The series also announced new cast additions that include Inori Minase as Karula, Cho as Upa, and Yuichi Nakamura as Rupa. Fans can check out the character design sheets below:
Urusei Yatsura Season 2 is currently airing and is part of the reboot of the original series of the same name that aired 195 episodes between 1981 and 1986. The original Urusei Yatsure was animated by Studio Pierrot for the first 106 episodes then was handed off to studio DEEN for the rest. The reboot was originally announced for a total of four cours back in 2022, with the final episode set to release in June 2024. There are currently 42 episodes out.
Series Director Takahiro Kamei reprised his position for the current second season as well as Yuuko Kakihara (series composition), Naoyuki Asano (character designer), Masanobu Nomura (art director), Masaru Yokoyama (music), and Yuuichirou Nagata (director of photography). Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura are both working as directors.
The rom-com, sci-fi anime is based on the manga created by Rumiko Takahashi, which was serialized for nine years between 1978-1987 and currently has over 35 million copies in circulation. VIZ Media originally picked up the English license for the series in the 1990s but stopped printing after volume 8. The publishing company picked it back up and released all volumes for the series in omnibus format between 2019-2023.
