The Wind Breaker manga is officially getting an anime adaptation by studio CloverWorks, and a teaser visual has been revealed. The manga has been serialized since January 2021, and you can see the teaser visual for the anime featuring the main character Haruka Sakura below:
Satoru Nii writes and illustrates the original Wind Breaker manga, which is serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website. It has 10 compiled volumes as of January 6 of this year, while volume 11 will release in Japan on April 7. At AnimeJapan2022, the manga also ranked as the 9th manga fans wanted to see animated. Kodansha licensed the manga in English, and they will also begin releasing print copies this fall. They describe the story for the manga:
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s from Fuurin High School, a school of near-dropout degenerates known only for their brawling strength. And in a town known for its territorial disputes, Haruka’s got only one goal—become the hero his town deserves.
