The 2022 year in anime already started off with a ton of amazing new opening and ending themes, and we collected data to see which ones are most popular on Spotify. The full and top 10 Spotify stream rankings for Winter 2022 openings/endings are available below.
Note that not all Winter 2022 anime openings and endings have been officially released on Spotify, and all song streams are counted as of April 14, 2022, and rounded to the nearest thousand. Tracks from shorts anime, kids anime, and films are excluded, and we began including songs from long-running shows in the rankings this year.
As you can see from this chart, the Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 opening “The Rumbling” by SiM takes the crown for Winter 2022 with an incredible 47,557,000 streams! It’s followed by the ending of the same anime, “Akuma no Ko” (Child of Evil) by Ai Higuchi. Placing 3rd is the new Ranking of Kings opening “Naked Hero” by Vaundy. Previously, the first Ranking of Kings opening “BOY” by King Gnu also won the top-streamed theme song of Fall 2021 and ranked #9 overall on the yearly Spotify rankings.
