WWE’s first investor call of 2021 announced that the company will collaborate with Crunchyroll on a new anime project. As of now, there are no details about the WWE partnership with Crunchyroll, but it’s still exciting news.
This collaboration could result in the first wrestling anime produced directly by the world’s largest pro wrestling organization.

Crunchyroll is one of the largest streaming services and is well-known for its original anime series such as Tower of God, The God of Highschool, Noblesse, and many others. Also, Crunchyroll has been bought by Funimation for $1.175 billion back in December 2020.
Furthermore, an animated series based on Rey Mysterio is currently in development. It will air on Cartoon Network and appears to have nothing to do with the upcoming WWE x Crunchyroll anime project.
