The previously announced Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyodai anime has revealed its first trailer, as well as details on the main cast. Studio Shuka (Durarara!! Season 2, 91 Days, The Case Files of Jeweler Richard) is animating the series.
Mitsuri Hongo is directing the series, while Orie Tanaka will serve as the chief animation director and character designer. The main cast includes:
- Ryota Iwazaki as Hayato
- Kikunosuke Toya as Mikoto
- Miyuki Sakurai as Minato
- Momoka Terasawa as Gakuto
The anime is based on a coming-of-age manga written and illustrated by Shizuki Fujisawa. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shojo manga magazine Betsucomi since August 2018 with fourteen tankobon volumes out as of this writing. The manga also won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shojo category in 2021.
The manga follows the story of the Yuzuki family, which consists of four brothers. After losing their parents, the siblings must find a way to navigate life by relying on one another. The story will center on the siblings’ journey in life, including their relationship with their local community and their school.
