Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba revealed a new birthday illustration by ufotable for Zenitsu Agatsuma to mark the occasion in 2025. Zenitsu’s birthday falls on September 3, and the date arrives just as the hugely successful Infinity Castle film continues breaking records as it rolls out globally.
Ufotable often releases seasonal and character-focused artwork to celebrate special occasions, such as Christmas, New Year, or Valentine’s Day, or character birthdays. Just last month, Gyomei Himejima got an illustration of his own.

Background on Demon Slayer
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga was created by Koyoharu Gotoge, being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. It was compiled into a total of 23 volumes.
The anime, produced by ufotable, premiered in April 2019 with a 26-episode first season, followed by the breakthrough Mugen Train film in 2020. The movie became a box office sensation in Japan and played a major role in popularizing anime films globally. A revival screening of Mugen Train began in Japanese cinemas earlier this year to hype the new movie.
The anime’s release timeline so far:
- Season 2: October 2021 – February 2022 (including a re-edited version of Mugen Train)
- Season 3: April – June 2023
- Season 4: May – June 2024
- Infinity Castle: July 18 in Japan, international roll-out starting from August 14
The North American premiere of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is set for September 12. Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fan subscribers will have a chance to watch it early on September 9. In addition, Fandango confirmed that it became its highest first-day ticket pre-seller for any anime movie in its history.
The movie was confirmed for a 155-minute runtime (2h35m), while it opened in the highest number of Japanese theaters in franchise’s history. It is already the third highest-grossing Japanese film of all time. Recently, Shinobu and Doma got teased in a key visual and trailer.
