86-Eighty Six: Season 2 Trailer, Visual, and Cast Additions Revealed

A new trailer, key visual, cast additions, and the new opening and ending themes for 86-Eighty Six Season 2 were revealed during a special broadcast on AbemaTV in Japan on Saturday. The new opening theme will be Amazarashi’s “Kyoukaisen” and the ending theme will be Regal Lily’s “Alchemilla”.

New Cast Additions

The big reveal also gave us new cast additions along with a handful of new characters. Included in these are:

  • Misaki Kuno – Frederica Rosenfort
  • Yuya Uchida – Ernst Zimmerman
  • Asuna Tomari – Shiden Iida

Episode Count

Back in May, it was announced that the series would have a total of 23 episodes. While this was still when fans thought it would be two-cours instead of two seasons, there’s been no change in information regarding episode count. So it’s safe to assume, for now, that 86-Eighty Six Season 2 will have 12 episodes. Season one covered the entire first volume of the light novel in its 11 episodes. Not to mention, the first preview we received back in August showed us Lena’s new image that was described in the epilogue of volume one.

You can watch that preview here.

If season two were to follow suit, we could see it adapt all of volume two and most likely volume three as well. A-1 Pictures will remain the studio behind the hit spring series.
