Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise From the Shadow- revealed another fight and shadow visual, this time featuring Sung Jinwoo’s fight against Baruka and his new shadow Iron. The shadow joined in Episode 2, which just finished airing in Japan and will arrive to Crunchyroll within a few hours.
The anime previously revealed a shadow visual for Igrit (Igris), while you can see the new shadow below.

Studio A-1 Pictures is animating, with 13 episodes confirmed for the season. Today’s episode was titled “I Suppose You aren’t Aware. It was the second episode that was included in the Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- movie, which premiered in North American theaters on December 6. You can also read our spoiler-free review.
The anime is based on the Solo Leveling webtoon by Chugong and DUBU from REDICE Studio, which was adapted by h-goon. The story follows the world’s ‘weakest hunter’ Sung Jinwoo, as he acquires a way to level up in the world where it is otherwise impossible and begins to grow unlike any other hunter. He has now cleared the Red Gate and leveled up even more, with his power now definitely comparable to the S-Rank hunters.
The new season has theme songs from TK from Ling Tosite Sigure and LiSA, with Hiroyuki Sawano as the music composer. You can see the details for both, while you can watch the opening below.
Solo Leveling Season 1 of the anime ran for 12 episodes from January to April 2024. It was previously also voted the most anticipated anime of Winter 2024, and it won Best New Anime at our Winter 2024 Anime Awards.
The second season was then voted as the most anticipated show of Winter 2025 this season.
