Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 revealed the preview for Episode 5, which premieres on Friday, February 13. The synopsis of Episode 5 is as follows:
In a bar town, Frieren is reunited with the dwarf Fass. He is an avid drinker and has been searching for the Emperor’s alcohol, Boshaft, for over 200 years, and says that it lies hidden at the end of a mine he dug himself. Will he be able to find it? The next place they visit is the Norm Trading Company, where they discover that the dwarf owes Frieren a huge amount of money going back 80 years.
MADHOUSE is animating the sequel with Tomoya Kitagawa as director. Tomohiro Suzuki is in charge of the series composition, with Yuri Fujinaka, Keisuke Kojima, and Maru Takase on character designs. Evan Call is composing the music. A special music video was released last week, featuring scenes from the first part of the season and accompanied by the ending theme song, “The Story of Us” by milet.

After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
