Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7 "Champions Never Fall to the Past" Launches March 24

HoYoverse has announced that Version 2.7 of Zenless Zone Zero, titled “Champions Never Fall to the Past,” will launch on March 24, introducing a new competitive storyline, additional agents, and themed events in New Eridu. The previous update introduced two playable characters from the idol group Angels of Delusion.

The update will center on the Hollow Champion competition, a large tournament organized by TOPS where fighters gather to compete for prestige, rewards, and rare equipment such as the Porcelloy W-Engine. Familiar factions like the Cunning Hares and the Sons of Calydon will participate alongside new contenders, including members of the city’s Public Security forces.

Two new playable agents will debut in Version 2.7:

• Cissia: An S-Rank Electric Attack agent from the Metropolitan Order Division. She enters combat with stacks of Venom, dealing Electric damage and boosting her CRIT Rate. Players can build additional stacks and expend them through attacks to unleash bursts of damage at key moments.
• Nangong Yu: An S-Rank Ether Stun agent and captain of the Angels of Delusion faction. She enhances her team’s Anomaly buildup against stunned enemies and can extend stun durations while strengthening squad attacks through her Ultimate ability.

The update will also feature the return of previously introduced agents Yidhari and Seed.

Events and Gameplay Updates

Version 2.7 will introduce several additional activities and system updates:

• Simmer Hot Pot Restaurant event at Lumina Square, featuring a themed mini-game storyline
• A relay-style combat challenge requiring players to complete battles using three separate two-member squads
• Updates to the Simulated Battle Trial, including new enemy lineups and scoring mechanics for leaderboard competition
• Rewards such as Polychromes, titles, and namecards for completing challenges and events

Released by HoYoverse, Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy action RPG set in the last surviving city after a catastrophic phenomenon known as the Hollows destroyed much of modern civilization. Players take on the role of a Proxy, guiding teams of agents into the Hollows to fight enemies and uncover the mysteries surrounding New Eridu.
