MAPPA Shares Exciting Updates for Its Upcoming Projects, Including Jujutsu Kaisen S4, Chainsaw Man, Special MV & More

MAPPA held its 15th Anniversary Lineup Presentation on June 19, revealing two new anime productions while sharing updates on several of its major titles. The event also premiered a special anniversary music video for “Seikatsu” (“Life”), a song written by PEOPLE 1 to commemorate the studio’s 15th anniversary.

The presentation opened with the reveal of the first trailer for JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 4 before moving to new project announcements. The segment featured Junya Enoki, who voices Yuji Itadori, and Megumi Ogata, who voices Yuta Okkotsu, in a special “Juju Talk” presentation.

MAPPA then announced that it is producing the TV anime adaptation of Coco Uzuki’s Fall in Love, You False Angels (Koi Seyo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo). A teaser visual, staff information, and teaser trailer were revealed, with the anime scheduled to air in 2027. The manga follows Otogi Katsura, a girl who presents herself as a perfect beauty, and Toki Ninomae, a classmate who appears equally flawless, as both begin to discover the hidden sides behind each other’s polished images.

The next reveal was BEAT & MOTION, based on Naoki Fujita’s manga. MAPPA unveiled the anime’s teaser visual and first teaser trailer, confirming that the series will stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix in 2027. The story follows aspiring animator Tatsuhiko Hirayama and independent musician Nico Kashiwagi as they partner to confront their dreams and insecurities.

MAPPA also announced an anime adaptation of JIMOTO SAIKO! (The Hometown Is the Best!), which will stream worldwide exclusively on Netflix. A teaser visual and teaser PV were revealed. The story follows Chanel and the people around her in what is described as her “best” hometown, surrounded by close friends and seniors.

The Attack on Titan Final Season segment followed, featuring director Yuichiro Hayashi and Mikasa Ackerman voice actress Yui Ishikawa. During the presentation, it was announced that MAPPA will produce the opening animation for Attack on Titan: Brave Order Game 3.

The studio then unveiled a special teaser for Dorohedoro Season 3. Additional details on the season remain to be announced.

The Ranma 1/2 segment featured Kappei Yamaguchi, Noriko Hidaka, and Koichi Yamadera, who appeared for a special talk about the anime’s upcoming third season. A new teaser trailer for Ranma 1/2 Season 3 was revealed.

Oblivion Battery also received a dedicated segment focused on Season 2 production, with Yohei Azakami, Nobunaga Shimazaki, and director Masato Nakazono appearing during the broadcast. MAPPA unveiled a new visual for the franchise’s upcoming large-scale event, Bokyaku Festa 2026. The event is scheduled to take place on November 29, 2026, at Tachikawa Stage Garden.

MAPPA closed the project update part of the presentation with several announcements for the Chainsaw Man franchise. The studio revealed a new Chainsaw Man mobile game and revealed an original opening animation movie for the title.

In addition, a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc anime was shared.

The presentation concluded with MAPPA’s 15th anniversary movie featuring PEOPLE 1’s original song “Seikatsu” (“Life”), written to commemorate the studio’s milestone year. The video served as the closing part of the event, highlighting MAPPA’s past and future as it marks 15 years since its founding.

Founded in 2011, MAPPA has animated titles including Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan Final Season, Dorohedoro, Hell’s Paradise, Vinland Saga, Yuri!!! on Ice, and Ranma 1/2.
