SPY x FAMILY Manga Exceeds 10 Million Copies in Circulation

SPY x FAMILY manga will exceed 10 million copies in circulation with the publication of volume 7. Shihei Lin, the editor for the series, confirmed the news on May 16, 2021, on Twitter.

The popular manga series is among the best-selling in Japan. It was voted as the 6th most anticipated anime adaptation on the AnimeJapan2021 expo. Recently, a domain and Twitter handle for the series were registered.

Viz, which licensed the manga for the English market, describes the series’ plot as:

Master spy Twilight is the best at what he does when it comes to going undercover on dangerous missions in the name of a better world. But when he receives the ultimate impossible assignment—get married and have a kid—he may finally be in over his head! Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!

Tatsuya Endo is the author and artist of the manga. He was born on July 23rd, 1980 in Ibaraki, Japan. His previous works include one-shots such as ISpy (2018) and Rengoku no Ashe (2014). Also, the first chapter of SPY x FAMILY came out in 2019 and currently has 47 chapters.
