Redo of Healer is one of the anime series that aired in the Winter 2021 season. In case you didn’t know, the contents of the series are quite explicit. Also, the plot of the series revolves around exacting revenge in rather gruesome ways. Thus, Joey, popularly known as “The Anime Man” conducted an interview with the Redo of Healer’s author, Tsukiyo Rui.
According to the interview, Tsukiyo Rui didn’t know much about light novels at first. Out of curiosity, he bought one and really enjoyed it. That was when he got into light novels. However, he also thought that he could write a good story himself and fill what he thought was missing.
Tsukiyo Rui mentioned that he has been writing for 5 years and currently has around 11-12 novel series under his belt. That said, Redo of Healer is his first work that got an anime adaptation. He was very happy since a larger audience got to see his work.
In the interview, Tsukiyo Rui said that he liked revenge stories but he felt like they lacked something. That’s when the author decided to write his own revenge story while making it “more hardcore”. That gave birth to the Redo of Healer light novel. Tsukiyo Rui also mentions that writing Redo was a gamble. Fortunately, it was a good bet and resulted in an anime adaptation of the work.
The author also says that he made the story “hardcore” cause it’s more interesting that way. He also said that he’s very careful about not going too far. He realizes that some things are too gory to enjoy and he’s not targeting that kind of audience. Tsukiyo Rui said that erotic light novels don’t sell that good, but since Redo of Healer revolves around revenge, it meshes well with sexual content.

In addition, another work of Tsukiyo Rui, “The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat“, is also getting an anime adaptation. Due to a delay, the anime will air in the Fall 2021 season.
What is Redo of Healer anime
In case you missed it, Redo of Healer anime aired in Winter 2021 season and had a total of 12 episodes. Also, it has a censored and uncensored version. The anime series is based on a manga that’s based on a light novel under the same name. Furthermore, the series’ author mentioned that a second season of the anime adaptation might happen and asked his fans to support the show.
