How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Episode 1: I Got a Throne and a Fiancée in Another World

The episode 1 of the anime ‘How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom‘ is finally out! The first thing that caught my attention is the opening song. As you can see, some anime series don’t really play the opening song at the start of its premiere.

They put it at the end sometimes, but in this case, they put it on the start. Not only that, the song also features the name of the main characters. The title of the opening song is “HELLO HORIZON” by Inori Minase.

Well, only two of the main characters were introduced in this episode. The first one was Kazuya Souma, who is the protagonist of the series. He looks like a normal person, but Kazuya is smart and already 18 years old.

The next character we have here is Liscia Elfrieden. She is the princess of the Elfrieden Kingdom and currently working as a soldier on one of its domains. Moreover, Liscia has a blonde hair, pretty, face, and kind-hearted. However, she is shorter than Kazuya.

The journey of the two is just starting. As for how they met, I will talk about it below.

Summoning the Realist Hero

To start off, the Elfrieden Kingdom has very huge problem. The Gran-chaos empire is requesting for their financial assistance to stop the invasion of the Demon Lord’s domain. The Elfrieden Kingdom has no right to refuse because the empire is the one who protects them from the invasion.

Unfortunately, they don’t have any money to give. Thus, their only option to survive is to summon a hero using the rite that were passed on their kingdom since ancient times. It is said that the hero’s role since ancient times is to lead a revolution for a new era. Of course, the one they summoned was Souma.

How a Realist Hero Become… a King?

Souma is only thinking of his safety, so he decided to help the kingdom using the knowledge he has. The next thing they do to held a meeting for 3 days and 3 nights. There, the king saw that Souma will be a better ruler than himself.

Therefore, to Souma’s surprise, the current king goes down from his position and gave it to him. Hence, he is now in charge of all paper works, safety of the kingdom, finances, and other country matters. However, it seems that there’s no one at the castle that can help him do all the paper works.

How a Realist Hero Get a Fiancée

Aside from being a king, Souma is also suddenly engaged to the kingdom’s princess, Liscia Elfrieden. The news came to her when she was currently in her soldier duties. As a result, Liscia rushed back to the castle to check the situation.

At first, Liscia thought that Souma is only up to no good. So, when she talked about him, Liscia saw that Souma is a smart and good person, which calmed her mind for a bit. However, to her surprise, Souma told her that she can cancel the engagement since he will come down on his position as the king soon.

Those words made Liscia annoyed and tried to say something that will stop Souma for abandoning the position. In my opinion, it seems that Liscia is okay to be married to Souma.
