Coolkyousinnjya Has 3 Works Being Adapted into Anime in Summer 2021

The Summer 2021 anime season is well underway, and a fun fact is that Coolkyousinnjya has 3 works being adapted simultaneously! The Japanese mangaka also wrote I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying and Komori-san Can’t Decline, both of which got anime adaptations in 2014-2015. This season however, there’s 3 works being adapted at the same time, which is pretty amazing. Let’s see what they are:

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S

Coolkyosinnjya’s both the writer and illustrator for “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid”. KyoAni is animating the 2nd anime season in Summer 2021. The synopsis for the show goes:

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life. Alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!

Peach Boy Riverside

While Coolkyosinnjya is the original creator of the Peach Boy Riverside web manga, the anime is adapting the remake version. While Coolkyosinnjya writes the remake version as well, Johanne is in charge of the illustration. It’s a take on the classic Momotaro story. Worth noting that the anime is airing in a different chronological order from the manga. The full synopsis goes:

Sartrienne Aldraic, princess of the Kingdom of Aldraic, dreams of traveling the world — a dangerous dream in a land where monsters roam the countryside as they please, and humans live behind high, strong walls. But when a chance meeting with traveler Mikoto gives hope to her dream, he shatters it soon after. As he reveals himself to be none other than Momotaro, ruthless demon-slayer. Though horrified by the gore Momotaro leaves behind, Sartrienne is convinced more than ever that she needs to learn about the world beyond her walls, and journeys out…following the steps of the mysterious, charismatic, terrifying boy she met that day…

The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace

The latest to premiere, The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace manga is originally written by the creator of Ishuzoku Reviewers, Amahara. Coolkyosinnjya handles the illustration for the manga, and the synopsis goes:

It has been 800 years since the incredibly fast and powerful gods of battle known as the Idaten had sealed away the demons after an intense battle. Now, that battle is just considered a myth or a fairytale. While the current generation of Idaten who have never even had to fight are enjoying their peaceful lives, someone awakened the demons once again! Armed forces, ingenuity. politics, and intrigue. If you’ve got it, use everything you can! This three-way battle royale with no rules and no limits is about to begin!!

The Summer 2021 anime season is showing some competitiveness in Anime Corner’s polls, and it will be interesting how the shows Coolkyousinnjya worked on will rank! Idaten just premiered and we’ll see how it ranks next Friday. Though it’d be no surprise if it also found its way in the top shows.
