Tokyo Revengers Live-Action Earned Over 3.2 Billion Yen in Just a Month

The live-action adaptation of Ken Wakui’s “Tokyo Revengers” manga premiered on July 10, 2021, in Japan. What’s more, it quickly earned tons of money climbing the ranks. In just a little above half a month, it sold around 1.66 million tickets, earning over 2.25 billion yen (~US$20.4 million). Today, on August 10, 2021, a month after the premiere, the “Tokyo Revengers” live-action film earned over 3.2 billion yen (~US$29 million).

The series also has an ongoing anime adaptation that, as of the moment of writing, has 18 episodes available to watch on Crunchyroll. Episode 19 is scheduled to come out on August 14, 2021.

Considering the popularity of “Tokyo Revengers,” the live-action adaptation might earn even more than 3.2 billion yen!
