It’s been 4 years and 4 months since Classroom of the Elite finished airing its first season in September 2017, and a sequel TV anime has now been officially announced! It was posted on the franchise’s official Twitter account, and it will reveal more details at a special project stream on March 6 this year. They released a key visual for the announcement:
One of the MF Books promotion assistants also shared a message in English for international fans, confirming that this will be a sequel TV anime for Classroom of the Elite:

The original light novel is written by Kinugasa Shogo and drawn by Tomose Shunsaku. It ran from May 2015 until September 2019, while Year 2 began in January 2020 and is still ongoing. Seven Seas publishes both the light novel and manga in English, and they describe the story:
