Gen Hoshino just revealed the music video for “Comedy/Kigeki”, which is used as the ending theme for the Spy x Family anime. The anime premiered on April 9 this year.
“Comedy” was written, arranged, and produced by Hoshino himself, while the music video was directed by MESS. You can check out the music video below.
After the release of the music video, Spy x Family’s manga creator Tatsuya Endo posted an illustration honoring the “creatures” seen in the music video, alongside Anya and her doll Chimera:
Gen Hoshino was previously affiliated with the Japanese instrumental band SAKEROCK. The band was formed in 2000 and released over ten albums before disbanding in 2015. He started his solo career in 2010 with the single “Kudaranai no Naka ni”. His first stint in doing music for anime was in 2018, with his song “Doraemon” which the anime of the same name has used his song as the official opening theme since the fall of 2019.
Spy X Family is available to watch on Netflix, and Crunchyroll, as well as on Muse Asia’s YouTube channel and Bilibili in Asia.
