Prince of Tennis U-17 Reveals Australian Team Cast in New Trailer

The Prince of Tennis U-17 anime introduced the cast for the Australian team in this latest trailer. The anime is set to air this July and it will adapt The New Prince of Tennis manga, which is a sequel to the original series.

The members of the Australian team in the Prince of Tennis U-17 are as follows:

  • Masamichi Kitada as Jean Fitzgerald
  • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Chris Hopman
  • Yu Miyazaki as Milky Milman
  • Genki Okawa as Mac McGregor
  • Keito Okuyama as Noa J. Dorgias

Cast members for the German team were recently announced as well last month, and are as follows:

  • Kentaro Tone as JJürgen Valicevic Volk 
  • Mitsuki Saiga as QP
  • Yohei Azakami as Michael Bismarck 
  • Chiharu Sawashiro as Elmer Siegfried 
  • Ryunosuke Watanuki as A. Frankensteiner

Prince of Tennis is based on a manga series by Takeshi Konomi, which was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from July 1999 to March 2008. An anime adaptation animated by Trans Arts and co-produced by Nihon Ad Systems and TV Tokyo ran for 178 episodes from October 2001 to March 2005. Following it, an original video adaptation of 26 episodes was animated by Trans Arts and Production I.G. It aired from March 2006 to January 2009.

Viz Media has licensed the English version of Prince of Tennis, and describes it as follows:
There is a rumor going around that a twelve-year-old boy is going to enter the sixteen-year-old and under tennis group.
