As you all well know, this season we started doing our own “best show” polls. Basically our fans decide which of the currently airing anime were the best during said week. You can check last week’s results here. It’s obvious that every person’s preferences may vary so we wanted to voice those opinions here! It will let you guys know what our team thinks of the results and what are their personal favorites this week!

When I saw this week’s poll results I wasn’t surprised by the fact that SAO reclaimed 1st spot. Don’t misunderstand me, I’m watching SAO myself but I wouldn’t really give the series top 1 spot. Personally I think that Re:Zero is keeping up the good work and Oregairu is only a little bit behind. I personally love God of Highschool, yeah storytelling isn’t its best side but I came here only for the fights and hype, and oh boy the series sure delivers. My guilty pleasure of the season will definitely be The Misfit of Demon King Academy. Anos is just so OP and the way he acts just sold the show for me. This week top 6 should look like this in my opinion:

  • #1 – Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season
  • #2 – Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Kan
  • #3 – Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld 2nd Season
  • #4 – Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha
  • #5 – God of Highschool
  • #6 – Kanojo, Okarishimasu

I’m yet to watch Appare Ranman and the new season of Shokugeki no Souma so think might change a little in the coming weeks. I’m trying to juggle watching old shows like Monster and keeping up with as much of new series that are coming out but it’s just too much for me at the moment.

The first thing I noticed was that Sword Art Online has reclaimed first place in the rankings. Although I am not watching the anime, I’ve read the light novel and I have a pretty good idea of where the anime is right now. So I’m not exactly surprised as to why a lot of you guys are voting for Sword Art Online! (In fact, I would’ve voted for it myself).

The one thing that really surprised me was that God of High School isn’t as high on the rankings than I thought. I’ve briefly read the webtoon and it’s pretty good in my opinion. I haven’t watched it yet, but I wonder why it’s rank is dropping hmmmmm….

In my opinion, the best series for this week should be SAO. I agree with viewers and would say that right now, SAO really does hold the number one spot in my heart!

I haven’t watched most of the anime airing this season, but I have read the light novel/manga for some of them, and I must say, the lineup for this season is looking pretty solid!

As I saw the poll results for Week 7, I was proud for the anime Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out for going up 5 spots from Rank 11 to Rank 6! I mean, the last episode of Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out did make me laugh so hard. And with a very consistent result in the weekly poll, Rent-A-Girlfriend never fails to give me mixed emotions! Each episode is just getting better and better, especially that they are introducing more characters. But overall, here are my top anime for this week:

  • #1 – Rent-A-Girlfriend
  • #2 – Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out
  • #3 – Fire Force Season 2
  • #4 – Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time

I am yet to start Deca-Dence, The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited, The God of High School, and Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World – Season 2 so my next personal top anime results are sure about to change.

After checking out this weeks rankings, seeing SAO Alicization at number one is no surprise to me as the story is leading to its climax.

But for me, the two shows that stand out the most are Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out and Rent-A-Girlfriend.

I read some of the manga for both shows and was pleasantly surprised by each of them.

What got me to know about Rent-A-Girlfriend was an anime youtube review which discussed the manga and the story presented. That made me want to check it out. As for Uzaki-Chan, I had heard about the Red Cross blood drive that went on earlier this year and its responses to it. That is what drew me to check out Uzaki-chan manga.

Overall, I look forward to both shows. There are other shows I want to view, but my schedule can only allow so much content to be viewed.

That would be all from our team this week! Once again here are the poll results from last week.
