Nitroplus and Shochiku’s upcoming original Revenger anime released the third trailer on Friday along with an announcement that Gen Urobuchi is working for the anime as the original creator and script writer. He is also taking care of the series composition. Ajia-do is animating the series, which will begin to broadcast on January 5, 2023. The anime project was announced in late September 2022.
Nitroplus’ Gen Urobuchi, known as the original creator in Fate/Zero and the scriptwriter in Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Renji Oki are writing the script for the Revenger anime under directions of Masaya Fujimoto (Kemono Jihen). Maaya Sakamoto (Shinobu Oshino in Monogatari series and Echidna in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World) is performing the ending theme song titled “un_mute.”
The cast members are listed as follows:
- Raizo Kurima: Jun Kasama (Wilibald Koenig – Saga of Tanya the Evil)
- Yuen Usui: Yuichiro Umehara (Goblin Slayer – Goblin Slayer)
- Teppa Murakami: Shunsuke Takeuchi (Takeda Harumi – My Senpai Is Annoying)
- Nio: Hisako Kanemoto (Erina Nakiri – Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma)
- Soji: Shota Hayama (Kazushi Yamagishi – Tokyo Revengers)
