Weathernews reporter Saya Hiyama posted her cosplay as Yor Forger from Spy x Family on Twitter to send her happy new year wish to her followers. She cosplayed the character in June 2022 with a photo post, which received over 178 thousand likes. Her Twitter page has been followed by more than 410 thousand users.
The post captioned “Happy New Year” came with her message in the photo:
“Oh? Why? My throat is stuck and no words come out. That’s not good, Saya. You should think more about the happiness of everyone rather than think of defending your own interests. You should deliver that.
Happy new year. May this year be another happy year for all of you!
Saya Hiyama was born on October 27, 1993. The official website of Weathernews introduces her favorites and skills as anime, camera, and tennis. The character she cosplays, Yor Forger, is a female assassin and a mother of the Forger family in the Spy x Family series. Saori Hayami voiced the character in the anime adaptation.

Tatsuya Endo has been drawing the Spy x Family manga in Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump + since its launch on March 25, 2019. The manga surpassed 26.5 million circulating copies with the 10th volume’s release on October 4. The WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks’ collaborative anime Spy x Family aired from April to June 2022 as the first cour with 12 episodes, and the second cour aired from October to December of the year with a total of 13 episodes. The Spy x Family anime and Anya Forger’s voice actress Atsumi Tanezaki won Yahoo! Japan Search Awards 2022 in the Anime category and the Voice Actor category respectively. The anime will have a TV anime sequel in 2023, as well as an original movie.
Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and published the newest, 8th volume in September 2022. The 9th volume is scheduled to be released on March 21, 2023. The official website describes the plot of the debut volume as:
