A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2 Episode 8, titled “No Such Thing as a Meaningless Kiss,” unveiled the preview for episode 8. The synopsis for the upcoming episode, slated to premiere on Tuesday, August 26, is as follows:
Nagi and Hiro… getting married!? Hiro suggests that the two of them play the roles of bride and groom to create a wedding brochure for Meguro Myojin Shrine. However, Hiro’s mother is firmly against the idea. As the two struggle to gain her approval, Hiro’s father suddenly appears…!?
The main voice cast includes:
- Akari Kito as Erika Amano
- Kaito Ishikawa as Nagi Umino
- Nao Toyama as Hiro Segawa
- Konomi Kohara as Sachi Umino
- Hina Youmiya as Mochizuki
Studio Okuruto Noboru is animating the sequel, replacing studios Shin-Ei Animation and SynergySP. Masakazu Hishida is the new director, and the rest of the staff includes: Jo Aoba as the series composition writer, Kyoko Kon as the character designer, and Rei Ishizuka as the music composer.
The opening theme song of the series is “Kimi ga Kureta Mono” is performed by asmi, while the ending theme song “Anata de nakucha” is sung by 22/7. Crunchyroll and Bilibili are streaming the anime. The latter describes it as:
Erika Amano and Nagi Umino were unintentionally born together; one was brought up as the daughter of a hotel magnate, while the other was raised as the son of a diner owner. Their adoptive and biological parents propose an arranged engagement after they find out the truth. Now that they share a home, Nagi’s already complex existence attracts his classmate Hiro, his sister Sachi, who is not connected by blood, and soon even his childhood first love.
