A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School anime revealed a new trailer ahead of the October 2024 premiere date. Studio SATELIGHT (Helck) is animating the adaptation with Katsumi Ono as the director. Deko Akao is in charge of the series composition and Natsuki is signing off on character designs.
The new trailer showcases the main cast, which includes:
- Ryota Suzuki as Mikoto Sano
- Reo Tanie as Mamekichi Maizuka
- Akari Kito as Beniko Zashiki
- Han Ayasaka as Kuniko Utagawa
- Shun Horie as Rintaro Miki
- Ryota Iwasaki as Izuna Hatanaka
The anime will adapt Mai Tanaka’s A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School (Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita!) manga, currently serialized in Square Enix’s GFantasy magazine. Yen Press is publishing it in English and describes the plot of the first volume:
Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It’s hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering-and now he’s going to be teaching at a school full of monsters?! It’s a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means at their disposal to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to get his group of ghouls under control, or is this class destined for failure?
The anime was first announced in December of last year.
