With Episode 8, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) has again revealed a new ending video and song. Just like all the previous ones, Sumire Uesaka is singing as her character Alya. The new theme song is a cover of “CHE.RR.Y,” originally sung by Japanese singer YUI and released in 2007. The anime was voted as the most anticipated show of the season, and it won the four out of seven weekly rankings so far. The anime is based on a light novel written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. The novel was initially published online as two short stories on the self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint in 2021.
Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket is serializing the manga adaptation by Saho Tenamachi, which was launched in October 2022. Yen Press licensed the novel in English.
Official synopsis:
Alya-san, who sits next to Masachika Kuze, always gives him the cold shoulder.
However, she sometimes blurts out a few flirtatious words to him in Russian.
