Arifureta Season 2 Episode 8 - Noint Is Finally Here

Noint finally introduced herself in episode 8 of Arifureta season 2, after first appearing at the beginning of episode 1 when she fought Hajime. Now that we finally have the full picture we know how Hajime ended up fighting and looking quite haggard.

Hajime facing Noint in episode 1

In this episode, Noint first appeared in the capital to kill the captain of the knights, Meld. According to her, Meld is a hindrance to the plans of their god, Ehit. She is also the one backing Daisuke and a mysterious woman in their ploys to take control of the king and soldiers of the city. Now that Meld is gone, the capital can fall into chaos. The anime hasn’t revealed how she is connected to the odd events, but it was already clear that she is.

Noint, about to kill Meld

Noint next appears at the ending of this episode, when she tries to assassinate Hajime, along with Aiko using a massive attack. However, she misses and decides to make her goals known. She will do everything in order to kill Hajime because he is an “Irregular”, and an unnecessary piece to the board of her god, Ehit.

It was also revealed that Noint was the one who kidnapped Aiko. In the previous episode, the nun who kidnapped Aiko said that she is using her to lure Hajime so that she could kill him, and it turned out that the kidnapper was Noint, who was just pretending to be a nun. That nun also appeared in Meiru Melusine‘s flashback in episode 6. The flashback shows Hajime and Kaori why the humans and demi-humans are not on good terms, and that nun has something to do with it. Now it is clear that Noint also acted behind the scenes several thousand years ago to create a conflict between humans and demi-humans.

Well, we just happened to witness the beginning of a promising arc. Now that Hajime met Noint, we can expect an eye-catching battle in the next episode of the anime, which will air on March 4, 2022. You can watch the series on Funimation. You can also vote for the anime on our weekly poll.
