As of today, June 9th, 2021 the final volume of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga is out. The volume is now available for purchase in Japan and comes in three different versions; one standard and two special editions.
The first special edition, titled “Beginning”, includes drafts of the manga which Isayama submitted to editors prior to serialization. The second one, titled “Ending” includes the drafts for the manga’s final two chapters, 138 and 139. Alongside the volume’s release, some commemorative goods have also become available for purchase, including clear files and a backpack.
The English translation for the Attack on Titan final manga volume will be available on October 19. There’s been a lot of buzz around the ending of the series, with numerous displays going up around Japan to commemorate the popular shounen series. Life-size statues of titans and the Survey Corps recently appeared at a shopping mall in Yokohama. As well as that, an LED Attack on Titan display was put up in Shinjuku Station, as a thank you to fans.
The Attack on Titan manga began serializing in September 2009 and officially ended on April 9, 2021. It also inspired an anime adaptation which is currently halfway through its fourth and final season. Moreover, the final season’s second part will air during the Winter 2022 season.
