The arrival of Ruti and Tisse in episode 9 of the anime already posed a huge problem for Rit and Red, even more so when all of the hero’s party end up there. In this episode 11 of Banished From Hero’s Party, Danan, who set on his journey first finally found Gideon in Zoltan. Theodora and Ares also arrived at Zoltan, unaware of the fact that Gideon lives there. Albert also learned the truth about the true identity of Red, thanks to Danan and Theodora. The hero’s party is in pursuit of Ruti because she left the party, despite being the hero. Are they going to be in the way of Ruti’s dream?
The Destruction of Rit and Red’s Apothecary
Since the first episode of Banished From Hero’s Party, it was clearly emphasized that Ares doesn’t like Gideon, while also being obsessed with Ruti. After he finds out that they are technically living together, he goes to the apothecary and destroys their things. Although the anime makes it look like he did it out of anger, there’s a bit more to it.
In the light novel, it was conveyed that the reason why Ares destroyed their home was that he was trying to find some information for his own benefit. The novel also explained that Ares destroyed their bed because he thought that Rit is hiding something there since it’s common for the princesses from a royal family to keep important things under their bed. But, Rit didn’t have anything there. Since the anime never explains this, it’ll be interesting to see if they’ll completely omit it or bring it up later on.
Ares makes his way to Ruti and Gidon, and the three reunites inside an elven ruins. Ares, looking miserable, attacks Red with magic, thinking that he is the reason Ruti can’t come back. Readers of the light novel may remember this particular ruins from Volume 4.
But, that obviously doesn’t work. Ares appears to be obsessed with Ruti and blames Red for his issues. In reality, he is just too insecure to admit that Red might be better than him, even if it’s just when it comes to Ruti liking him more. It appears that he is in love with Ruti, but there might be more to it.
Theodora, Danan, and Albert are also heading to the elven ruins. Ares formed a team with a demon. Rit and Tisse are still in the depths of the elven ruin. As a light novel reader, with only 2 episodes left, it’s safe to assume that we are entering the final arc of the season. Will the anime follow the source material here or take on another route? It doesn’t seem like the stage is fully set yet. If you are curious about how it’ll turn out, episode 12 will air on December 22, 2021, and you can watch it on Funimation.
