Nisio Isin’s novel series Bishounen Tanteidan is going to get a stage play this December. They have released a new key visual featuring the members of the Pretty Boy Detective Club. Check out the key visual below:
The Bishounen Tanteidan stage play will premiere at Tennozu Galaxy Theater from December 31, 2021, to January 10, 2022. In addition, the official website for Bishounen Tanteidan has listed that the ticket price will start at 11,000 Yen, taxes included. As of now, tickets are still not open for sale, but you will be able to get one once it’s available at Galaxy Theater Ticket Center.
Moreover, they have revealed several cast members for the stage play, including the members of the Pretty Boy Detective Club.
The official cast and characters are the following:
- Nichika Akutsu as Manabu Soutouin
- Kanako Saito as Mayumi Doujima
- Seiichirō Nagata as Michiru Fukuroi
- Okuda Yumeto as Hyouta Ashikaga
- Yuta Tachibana as Nagahiro Sakiguchi
- Ryota Hirono as Lai Fudatsuki
- Riona Tatemichi as Rei
The official Twitter for the play also emphasized that they will announce more cast members and characters soon.
Bishounen Tanteidan is a novel series with story by Nisio Isin and illustrations by Kinako. The series started in October 2015 and ended in December 2019. It has a total of 12 volumes, including the extra volume which commemorated the premiere of the anime. The extra volume hit the shelves last May, and is titled “The Pretty Boys in the Rue Morgue”. In addition, Shaft produced a TV anime adaptation in Spring 2021, and it has a total of 12 episodes. Shaft is known for producing anime with unique art styles such as Nisekoi, Puella Magi Madoka, and March comes in like a lion. The studio also produced most of Nisio’s works, such as the Monogatari Series and the Beheading Cycle OVA.
