Lycoris Recoil anime has revealed a new summer visual featuring the two main characters, Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue. The anime has a sequel in production, as well as announced a short movies project featuring 6 short episodes about the characters’ daily lives.
The story is an original work by Spider Lily (Kadokawa Corporation, Dentsu Entertainment, and Aniplex) and Asaura, who is credited for the original story. Studio A-1 Pictures animated the TV anime, which got both manga and light novel adaptations after a successful run. The main cast in the anime included:
- Shion Wakayama as Takina Inoue
- Chika Anzai as Chisato Nishikigi
- Misaki Kuno as Kurumi
- Ami Koshimizu as Mizuki Nakahara
- Kosuke Sakaki as Mika
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Majima

A secret organization that prevents crimes: “DA – Direct Attack”.
And their group of all-girl agents: “Lycoris”.
This peaceful everyday life is all thanks to these young girls.
The elite Chisato Nishikigi is the strongest Lycoris agent of all time.
Alongside is Takina Inoue, the talented but mysterious Lycoris.
They work together at one of its branches–Café LycoReco.
Here, the orders this café takes range from coffee and sweets to childcare, shopping, teaching Japanese to foreign students, etc.
It’s mostly tasks unbefitting of Lycoris.
The free-spirited and optimistic pacifist, Chisato.
And the cool-headed and efficient Takina.
The chaotic everyday lives of this mismatched duo begin!
Lycoris Recoil was incredibly well recieved by fans. It was voted as the best anime of the Summer 2023 season, while Chisato was also voted as the best girl. Takina placed 3rd.
