Classroom of the Elite Season 4 was officially announced with a teaser visual earlier today. The third season of the anime, which finished this March, fully completed the story of the first year and now it’s time for Ayanokoji to start the second year. The visual features him and a new crowd in the uniforms:
The first season of the anime aired in 2017, deviating from the source material. Studio Lerche also worked on the second and third seasons, which were announced together. The third season was delayed from 2023 to January 2024. The main cast for the Classroom of the Elite anime includes:

The anime is adapting Shogo Kinugasa’s novel of the same name, illustrated by Tomose Shunsaku. Year 1 was serialized from May 2015 until September 2019 and compiled into 14 volumes. The sequel, Year 2 began in January 2020 and is still ongoing. Manga adaptations of both arcs are currently ongoing with Kawaisounako providing the art for Year 1 and Shia Sasane for Year 2.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the original light novel and the manga. The plot of the first volume of Year 2 is described as:
As Ayanokouji and his classmates begin their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, they’re greeted by a fresh gauntlet of exams and a fresh batch of rather unique first-year students. They’ll have to get to know each other quickly, because the first special exam pairs the first-years with the second-years on a written test—with only the second-years facing expulsion if their team performs poorly! Worse yet? It seems one of the new first-years is also from the White Room. Can Ayanokouji avoid expulsion while sussing out the identity of this hidden foe?
